Shri Anupam Tiwari is an accomplished corporate leader serving as Chief General Manager – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Public Relations & Corporate Communications at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), one of India's leading Maharatna public sector energy enterprises. With over three decades of experience within HPCL, he has built a diverse professional career spanning operations, sales and marketing, corporate affairs, public relations, corporate communications and social impact. His leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in empathy, purposeful communication and nation-building, with a strong belief that responsible corporate leadership must create value not only for the organisation but also for the communities it serves. Having joined HPCL in 1993 as an Electrical Engineer, Shri Tiwari has handled several important assignments across the organisation. His professional journey includes responsibilities in LPG bottling operations, industrial LPG sales in Mumbai, aviation fuel marketing, domestic LPG distribution and distributor channel development. He subsequently moved into corporate affairs, where he managed relationships with government institutions, public representatives and other key stakeholders, and also contributed to strengthening official language implementation within the organisation. This cross-functional exposure has given him a comprehensive understanding of HPCL's business operations, stakeholder ecosystem and institutional priorities. In his communications leadership role, Shri Tiwari has championed initiatives such as Leadership Speak, HP Unplugged, HPCL's Golden Jubilee celebrations and the #ProudToBeHPite storytelling campaign, aimed at strengthening employee engagement, institutional identity and transparent organisational communication. His leadership and contribution to corporate communications received individual recognition through the Chanakya Award at the PRCI Excellence Awards 2024 for Stakeholder Management. HPCL also secured multiple recognitions at the PRCI Excellence Awards 2025, including the prestigious Champions of Champions Award. With his expanded responsibilities in CSR, Shri Tiwari is focused on creating measurable social impact through initiatives addressing education, healthcare, community development and empowerment of disadvantaged sections. Important programmes within HPCL's CSR portfolio include Project Nanhi Kali, promoting education for underprivileged girls; Dil Without Bill, supporting life-saving cardiac surgeries for economically disadvantaged patients; Project Super 50, providing educational coaching and mentorship to talented students from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh; and HP Sampark, the employee volunteering initiative. HPCL's CSR programmes collectively impacted more than 40 lakh lives during FY 2024–25, with expenditure of approximately ₹87 crore across education, healthcare and community development. An alumnus of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Shri Tiwari combines technical education with extensive corporate and leadership experience.
