Mr. R. Pavithra Kumar is an experienced leader, currently working as the Chief Executive Officer at JSW Foundation, Mumbai. He has previously worked as Chief Program Director at the Tata Trusts and was responsible for the oversight of the Trusts’ Programs across all programmatic themes such as health, cancer care, nutrition, education, water, sanitation and hygiene, livelihoods, digital transformation, migration and urban habitat, social justice and inclusion, environment and energy, skill development, sports, arts and culture. On behalf of the Trusts, he worked directly with the leadership of Government of India (GoI), Niti Aayog and international partner organizations such as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Google and the World Bank. He also served on the Board of Tata Cancer Care Foundation (TCCF) - the Cancer arm of Tata Trusts across the country along with Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation (VCF) for Multi-Thematic interventions, Foundation for Development of Rural Value Chains (FDRVC) - a joint initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI & Tata Indian Institute of Skills (TIIS) for skill building in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, GoI. He has 28 years of experience in the Finance, Techno-Commercial, and Social Development sectors. He has held positions including the Chief Financial Officer in a telecom subsidiary at Nepal, wherein, he had taken the responsibility of the entire company’s P&L and was responsible for the turnaround of a loss-making entity into a profitable one.
